CAREER READINESS &
PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRANSITIONING TRAINING
One of the most frequently asked questions is, “What are you going to be when you grow up?” Toddlers may want to be superhero or ballerina, while pre-teens may want to be famous YouTubers. However, it’s usually adolescents who despise this question because they are not sure what route they want to take after high school. Some students choose the military, some choose to attend college for a degree or to learn a trade, while others jump right into the workforce. Preparing and finding the right career can be tough, time-consuming and overwhelming, our career readiness course is here to equip students!
Our career readiness course prepares students through pre and post-test assessments and hands-on activities. The course allows students to explore their dreams, research careers, uncover personal challenges, identify their strengths and values, create a career plan utilizing S.M.A.R.T. goals to prepare them for today’s workforce.
Pre-Employment Transitioning Services (PRE-ETS) is a specific set of services for students with a disability who are still enrolled in school. Our pre-employment transitioning services includes job exploration, self-advocacy sessions, completing a job application, creating a resume, interview preparation, interpersonal skills and so much more.
